“to HELP, to make it EASIER for someone who NEEDS it. It’s
as simple as THAT.”
Humanity is always only as great as we make it. That’s a general and a personal mission. The desire to lend a helping hand isn’t one that should be forced, but rather should be one that comes from within. There are so many people that need help, finances, support, attention, care and much more to this day. It is never easy to ask for help. I’ve learnt that through experience. People aren’t always comfortable with seeking support when they are in need of it, whether it’s because they want to figure things out on their own, avoid coming off as incapable, or anything of the sort. That is why it is a ‘must’ to offer a helping hand to people who may not even ask for one. After I was fortunate enough to spend a number of hours with the students of this school, there was no question about the necessity and desire to help that I felt.
So, why help? For starters, that is the right thing to do. You see someone that needs help, you help. It’s human nature, human sympathy and empathy at its finest. In this case, over the past few months, many of the students of ‘Louis Braille’ have become my friends and I could not be more happier than to help them continue their education and advance it. We take things like sight for granted, but it truly is a gift. It is a gift that the students must learn to live without or at least without it to a partial level. At the end of the day, I do this to help, to make it easier for someone who needs it. It’s as simple as that. Furthermore, I want to inspire others to help anyone at anytime and anywhere. This isn’t about any person as an individual. This is about us as humans.
